"First, do no harm" is a rule that doctors try to live by. But if it was the only rule, they wouldn't help people very much. Doctors can avoid injury with inaction, but they can only help with action. When we help people this week, let's choose to go beyond inactive goodness. If we just avoid harming people, that's a fine start. Yet, it's being actively good that changes lives. So let's first do no harm... but we don't need to stop there. We can do so much more with our action than with our inaction. Let's actively make the world a better place.
