It feels like nowadays there's a greater deficit in our attention than ever. Ironically, it's not because there's nothing to keep our attention; it's because we've got so many things trying to keep our attention. We've got more connections than ever (good!), and it can lead to difficulty giving enough attention to the connections that matter most.
